{ FATHERS DAY FESTIVITIES }
For Brian's first fathers day, we had a delicious breakfast of french toast Kabobs, along with a fun picnic with box lunches, cupcakes in a jar, and games. Of course it was poring on fathers day, so we decided to extend the festivities and have our picnic Monday. And as always I bite off more than I can chew, and was running around like a mad woman before both breakfast and the picnic. Well now that I think about it, it's more that I do just about everything last minute. Oh well, it happened and thats what matters. For Brians fathers day gift we gave him a car wash kit. It doesn't do him much good until we have a house to wash our cars at, but he was excited about it. We really had a good time celebrating our first fathers day as a family. Brian really is such a good dad. I feel so amazing blessed to have the husband I do (especially when I watch 16 and pregnant. I KNOW! Brian reminds me every time I watch it, that it is trash. I just cant help it.) He really has exceeded my expectations as a father. Not that I had low expectations, I just didn't know what to expect. He is great in every way. And I will gladly celebrate him as a father every year!

( TIN FOIL DINNERS AND S'MORES }
This afternoon we headed up the canyon with my brother Chase and our friends the Clarks, for some tin foil dinners and s'mores. I have been wanting to do this for a while now, but the weather just didn't want to cooperate. So I was beyond excited to finally get to go. I spent some time looking up recipes for most delicious tin foil dinners but it didn't do much good because they definitely weren't the most delicious or even close to the most delicious tin foil dinner. Next time I am asking for suggestions. Despite being attacked by mosquitos, a short period of light rain, and our less that impressive dinners, we had a lot of fun spending time together. My new summer goal is to master tin foil dinners. This should be interesting!

{ LEMONY GOODNESS }
I like to consider myself somewhat of a cookie connoisseur. I think this comes from being raised by my amazing mom who is known for her cookies. All growing up my friends would come over for my moms cookies. So naturally I have developed the same knack for baking cookies as my mom. So when I came across this new and delicious recipe, I was in cookie heaven. I would be so selfish if I did not share the yummy goodness that I discovered. I found this recipe thanks to my friend Heather, who suggests the lime coconut cookies. I have yet to get around to the lime coconut ones but I did get around to making the lemon sugar cookies and they are soooo good. You must must must try them. They are the perfect cookie for spring/summer. I guarantee it will be love at first bite.

{ BRIDAL VEIL FALLS }
Today, being the beautiful day that it was, seemed like the perfect day to go for a little family walk to Bridal Veil Falls. Yep a walk. No hikes for this family. Well at least not for me. I prefer not to torture myself. Once again Claire loved the opportunity to get out and about. She is happiest going for a walk, while strapped into her little carrier. When Brian is carrying her, he has to be extra careful because, she generally has a hard time containing her excitement and ends up kicking dad in a certain area. I guess I should offer to take her more often but then who would take the pictures?? Anyway, going on our little walk reminded me of just how beautiful Utah is. I never thought I would feel so much love for Utah, but I do! It was a fun first of many family walks to the falls.
