{ CHUBBY TUBBY TIME }

Claire doesn't mind tub time one bit. She soaks up every moment in her warm bath. Claire loves to scares us into thinking she is about to go number two in the tub by tooting. I am not looking forward to the day that she actual goes through with it.

{ SET OF PIPES }

This is what I listen to all day long. The girl has one set of pipes. She loves to hear herself. Either that or she wants to make sure we know she is still here. Either way she is doing a good job. I am beginning to think she is going to be a wild one.

{ FOUR MONTHS }

Wow really? Four months? I kind of don't believe it. However it's the sad truth and she is only getting older. Everyday she is getting even cuter and more animated. I love seeing her little personality develop. And I must say, she is going to be awesome.

{ WE ARE SO BLESSED }

I have been meaning to blog about this FOREVER it seems. I finally decided to stop being lazy and get to it. When we were in California last, we had Claire blessed in my home ward. Can I just say how nerve racking it is?? Maybe I am the only one that feels this way, but I was nervous for Brian. I knew he would do great but I know how I get when I have to do anything in front of a large group (sweating uncontrollably, Shaky, maybe even an occasional stutter. Ok maybe that last one was a slight exaggeration. I just wanted to express how much I hate doing anything in front of large groups.) So I was a wee bit anxious for him. I kept turning to him and asking " Are you nervous?". The first few times he said no, but then I think me being nervous made him a little nervous and maybe even slightly annoyed. Silly me. Well he got up there and did great. I really had nothing to worry about considering he got an A in his public speaking class. On the other hand, if it were me up there it would have been a sad story. I mean I couldn't even teach our class of 11 year olds without having a panic attack. Anyway not only did he do a great job, but Claire didn't make a peep. So I could actually hear her blessing. It was perfect. Afterward, my family and a few friends headed over to the my parents house for a lunch in. Everything was oh so yummy, and I felt so blessed to have the amazing family and friends that I do. Once the irrational worrying was over, it was an absolute perfect day.

{ HOME }

A couple weeks ago, Claire and I went back to California for a whole two weeks and spent some time with the families. It was so fun. I just love watching how loved Claire is. She is for sure one spoiled girl. She won over some hearts with her constant smiles and giggles. In my mind I had all these plans while we were there. I wanted to take her to the beach and take walks everyday, but the weather didn't let us. So I am planning another trip to the golden coast sometime soon. Although we didn't get our daily walks and trips to the beach, Claire was spoiled with a oh so lovely shower! We are so blessed to have such amazing friends. We can't wait to go back.

{ EYE PATCH or HEADBAND? }

Since Claire has been born I have started making her headbands. I have had so much fun doing it. Not only is it fun for me, but it makes it much easier for people to determine if Claire is indeed a boy or a girl. I feel like I'm doing all those strangers out there a small favor. Though my husband agrees that they are cute, more than anything he sees them as a torture device. All because OCCASIONALLY (ok maybe multiple times a day) This happens........
It usually takes us a few minutes to realize. Poor thing. So now we call them eye patches. Brian can't wait for the day when Claire has enough hair that we don't have to put headbands and bows on her to make sure that people are aware of her gender. Little does he know I have every intention of putting cute headband and bows on my little girl as long as she lets me. Thats what moms do right?

{ YOU MAKE MY HEART AFLUTTER }

This Valentine's was glorious. We started out the day with a Valentine Photo shoot of Claire. Since I didn't ever get around to sending out actual valentines, these pictures made up for that. Then Mr. B sent me a beautiful bouquet of tulips. They are among my favorite flowers. For this my husband is lucky because he hates the smell of flowers ( bizarre right? ), and tulips are without much of a scent at all. Anyway, I loved them. Later that night he surprised me with a babysitter and a delightful dinner at Flemings in Salt Lake. It was just so perfect. After we got home we indulged in some much desired Hagen dazs, rocky road ice cream. And just when things couldn't get better, I surprised Brian with couples massages the next day. And of course this indeed included another evening with a babysitter. Don't think that we don't love being with Claire, because we absolutely do. It's just so wonderful to actually be able to focus on one another for more than a few seconds and not be interrupted by our little peanut. However I'm pretty sure 90% of our conversation was aabout Claire. Anyway it was indeed a day/week of love in the Phelps house hold. Yay for L O V E.
