New York, New York!

Our first stop on our two week “vacation” was New York. I say “vacation” because it was somewhat torture for me, being away from Claire for 15 whole days. However I really did enjoy those three days in New York.

Things we did/saw:

- Reveled in the beauty that is Central Park (my favorite part).

- Brian rowed us around the pond at central park. How romantic!

- Got a glimpse of/used the restroom at the Boat House. It was just lovely.

- Saw Owen Wilson and Chris Rock

- Hit up Magnolia Bakery for some cupcakes and chocolate milk

- Went to the infamous Shake Shack. My favorite was their toffee concrete.

- Went to time square and saw the naked cowboy. He creped Brian out.

- Did some shopping. Saw the most amazing anthro ever!

- Went to see Wicked. It was Brian’s first time, and he loved it. Not surprised.

- blah, blah, blah, blah…

- and much more.

All in all we had a great time. However I wish we had more time to take it all in. We will be sure to go back again. Hopefully some day soon.

{ TWO WHOLE WEEKS! REALLY? }

A few months ago my in laws invited Brian and I to join them on a ten day New England cruise. At this point Claire was only a couple months old, and I thought for sure come September, I would feel beyond comfortable leaving her while we went on a little trip. Well here is September and let me tell you I was SO wrong. I keep having anxiety attacks about not how Claire will do with out me (Because Claire is not clingy at all. We like to say she is 9 months going on 15 years. She is almost too cool for us most the time. She turns away when i kiss her! Rude right? ) but how I will do without Claire. Bah! Not only am I terrified of being without her, I HATE HATE HATE flying. Please refer back to THIS previous post to understand this insanely irrational fear of mine. I just don't know what I was thinking. Well it's too late now, and we're going. So to help me cope with my insanity, the doc hooked me up with some sweet meds. Thank the heavens! With out them I may have had to fake some insane flew or throw myself down the stairs, braking my legs, to get out of it. Luckily I didn't have to resort to either of those. However, I am beyond bummed to not get to be with my pretty little girl for two weeks. I will be counting down the minutes until I get to be with her again.

{ FULL HOUSE }

A couple weeks ago we had quite the full house. We had almost my entire family in town, and we were lucky enough to have them stay with us. Claire absolutely loved it. She was constantly entertained which means I got a very much needed break. The first week we just had my youngest siblings, Britt and Alysse, with us. We were sure to show them a good time. We took them to the nickel cade, bowling, the falls, and miniature golf multiple times. They are both so easy going and helpful that I didn't want them to leave. I think I am going to have to ship them out here every few months. The second week my parents joined the party. It was nice for them to finally get to come spend some quality time with the little bear. She just loves them all!

{ SUMMER STORMS }

Am I the only one that loves these random summer rain storms?? Well I LOVE them. The other day we were watching the storm come through. Brian and I were very much entertained, however Claire wasn't all that interested. She was more focused on licking the window. Yum.
