{ THIS IS THE LIFE }

This last weekend, we packed up our car and headed to Las Vegas to celebrate our sister in laws graduation from UNLV Law School. It was so fun to go on a mini family vacation. We had so much fun. It helps that Brian's brother, who happens to work at the Wynn and Encore suites, was able to get us some great deals. Who doesn't love a good deal? Our room was adjoined with Brian's parents room. Well I guess I shouldn't call it a room. It was the presidential suite. Coming in at a whopping 2,100 sq ft! It was amazing. So needless to say we spent most of the time hanging out with them in their room. We also spent time at the pool, went to the Beatles LOVE show, attended Karlee's graduation, and had many yummy meals. If you are ever in Vegas, the Wynn and Encore are the place to stay. It was a dream. I would have been really depressed to leave but I get to go back next month. Lucky me. So I will be waiting anxiously for my return.

SOOOOO I'm 26. Seriously where has my life gone? I feel like I am slowly creeping to deaths door. Ok I am being very dramatic. It's just that when you are a teenager, its almost as if you feel like you will always be a teenager and never be any older than 18. I think now being a mom, makes it extra scary for me, to think of how fast life is going by. So I decided that instead of dwelling on the reality that I am indeed 26 and only getting older, I am going to make sure and enjoy everything about this truly wonderful life of mine. So thats exactly what I did on my birthday. My birthday celebration started exactly at midnight when Brian had me open my gifts. He surprised me with a band to match my wedding ring and a couple other goodies. I loved them all. Then the Celebration continued with a little lunch my girl friends put together for me. Can I just say that I have the most amazingly beautiful, hilarious, and fun friends out there. I just love them. Later that night Brian and I wrapped up the celebration with our friends Dom and Karyn for dinner at Ruth's Chris. Ruth's never disappoints. You would think that once the actual day of my birth was over, that the celebrating would end, but no. Lastly we celebrated with a group of guys and gals at CPK. And once again my friends are amazing. Always sure to make me feel special. So until next year! Hopefully I will feel better about turning 27.

{ CLAIRE'S FIRST EASTER }

So Claire's first easter was for the most part uneventful. Unfortunately I was pretty sick and not feeling in the festive mood. However I did make sure to put her basket together and dress her up for some photos. We couldn't let her first Easter pass without photos. Her basket was filled with pool essentials such as her very first swim suite, sun screen, sun hat, and sandals. I also included teething and feeding essentials. I was excited, however, like most five month olds, she didn't care much. Next year should be a little bit more exciting.

{ EASTER BASKET }

When I was little my mom hand made us our own Easter baskets. I still have it to this day. Now that I am a Mom I realize how sweet that was. Sooo of course I wanted Claire to have her very own basket. I only realized yesterday that Easter was on Sunday, so I rushed and finished it after I put Claire down for bed. I hope she has it for years to come.

{ TO READ OR NOT TO READ }

Ok so I have never been one to want to read. I think the only time I have ever read a book from start to finish was because I had to for school. Brian always makes fun of me because it takes me all of five minutes to finish a magazine. This is because all I do is look at the pictures. I rarely read an article. I guess its just the visual person in me. However I am aware that this is pathetic. Sooo when I was offered my mother in laws old kindle, I figured it was the perfect time to start enjoy reading. Anyway, I need recommendations. This whole reading thing is sure to be short lived if I dont find good books to read. So please help!

{ CRAFT NIGHT }

Ok so for a while I have been wanting to start hosting a craft night once a month. So with a little encouragement from some friends, I had my first. Everyone had so much fun and I cannot wait for the next. If you are in the Orem area and want to join us next time let me know.
