{ FEELING THE LOVE }

Today these lovely ladies drove all the way from Utah to surprise me with their presence. I fell totally and completely loved! With the help of Brian, they did a great job surprising me. He convinced me to go to in-n-out for dinner (which wasn't hard) and when we got there, they were hiding in a booth. When I spotted them, we all screamed in excitement. The people around us weren't too happy, but we didn't care. It has been way to long since I have seen their pretty faces. This is going to be a great weekend!

So a few months ago I was blog stalking as always, and i found this beautiful piece that had been completely refinished. Isn't it gorgeous? So for the last few months it has been my dream to do a piece just like it. And wouldn't you know, yesterday, during my daily craigslist search, I found one! I got this beauty for only 60 bones. I can't wait to get started on it.

Yesterday I got to go to Disneyland with this little munchkin. I love every minute I get to spend with my little niece. She is at such a fun age. She is sweet yet sassy and I love her.

{ COMPLETE HUMILIATION }

This last week I received an oh so enticing email from the knot saying, if I submitted our wedding photos, we would have chance at winning a trip to Maui. I'm sure those chances are very small but I figured how could it hurt? So I did. While filling out the information needed to submit my photos, it requested my email address. Well one of my email addresses happens to be somewhat embarrassing. Ok, it's really embarrassing; so much so that I have only revealed it to a select few. I created it at a time of complete immaturity, and for whatever reason I have yet to get rid of it. So I filled out the email portion and my email address then became my username. So I submitted the photos and later came to find out that they had been chosen as one of the many, yet few, editor's pick. I was so thrilled because this had to mean I was that much closer to winning that trip to Maui, right??? So while I was showing Brian that we had indeed been chosen as editor's pick, he started to giggle as he read aloud, "Love bird, shabby chic wedding. Submitted by Rancidfruitbag (Bride)". I just about died!! I knew that awful email address would come to haunt me one of these days. It was bad enough when my in-laws discovered it, but this was far worse. How in the world was I supposed to win a trip to maui with such a username as rancidfruitbag? Well, after a day of being completely humiliated, I can now laugh at myself. { THE BENCH }

Ok so finally I got flip number two done. I am really happy with how it turned out. It was actually a bit more of a pain completing than i thought it would be. However, it was completely worth it. Now that this is done I can start working on the coffee table and chairs I got. Lately I have a problem of just looking for and buying furniture before I have completed what I already have. So I will not allow my self to buy one more piece until I have completed what I have. Now off to my other projects!

A CHARMED LIFE

What a week. You know when you have one of those weeks that is just so insanely busy that you truly believe you will fall apart before it's through? Well this week was one of those. However, maybe it's just me being a little dramatic. I feel like I took on a lot but now that its over, I had an absolute blast. The source of most of my stress was the valentines party I decided to throw last minute. I had been playing with the idea for a couple weeks but wasn't really taking it all that serious. So on Tuesday I decided to over come my fear of throwing an awful party and just do it. So I did and it turned out just peachy. Even though I wasn't able to convince brian to dress up like cupid, it turned out just how I wanted. I can't wait to throw the next one. Another exciting moment of this week was having my bestest Oakley and her husband, scott come visit. It was short but it was oh so sweet. I miss having her so close by. Maybe one day I will be able to convince her to live here. I don't think it should be all that hard. So I have hope. And the ultimate highlight of the week was our Valentines Day celebration. Brian had all kinds of trick up his sleeve. I was very impressed and even more grateful. Now onto a new week.

This last week was a great week. Brian may or may not have taken me on a surprise dinner date to Ruth's Chris, we bought Disneyland passes, and I sold the dresser. I am a happy lady. Now onto my next project!

A PLEASANT SURPRISE

So last week I was doing my usual blog stalking when I came across a picture from our wedding. I was thrilled, but mainly because this was an image I had never seen before. So I followed the link associated with the image and I found a ton more! It turns out that the day of our wedding, our photographer had another photographer doing a workshop with him. ADORABLE

So I was walking though the mall yesterday and I went into this amazingly cute store. The problem was it was a baby store. Maybe you have heard of it. It is called Janie and Jack. If you know what it is you will agree that one day we all aspire to dress our future children in their oh so cute clothes. So while I was in there, the clothes started to make me think of how fun it would be to have a baby to dress up and I was quick to exit the store. There will be no babies for us any time soon. So that you can understand the irrational thoughts I had yesterday, I included some images of the oh so adoreable apparel.

V DAY PARTY?

So yesterday I had the brilliant idea of possibly, maybe having a Valentines Day party. I basically just want an excuse to decorate my apartment all cute. These are just a few of my ideas. My lovely friend ashley inspired me with her puffs. Check them out!

MY OTHER ADDICTION

I love love love weddings! For the last few years it has been my absolute dream to be a wedding planner. I am sure there is so much more that goes into it but, what would be more fun than creating such memorable and beautiful moments? As part of my obsession I started to collect wedding magazines. Collection seen above. At moments when I couldn't afford to buy my little booklets of joy, I would go sit in Barnes & Nobel for hours, just to indulge myself in such beauty. Any time I went on a date I would have to make sure all my magazines were hidden so that the boys didn't think I was one of those girls with my wedding already planned. In fact, I knew Brian was a keeper after a week of dating, when he discovered all the wedding pictures I had saved on my computer and he wasn't fazed. Well one day I will have my dream job, one day.

STUD

Brian is hardcore when it comes to surfing. He gets up every morning at 5:30 to get his fix. I personally can't understand the obsession but I am happy that he enjoys it as much as he does. The only reason why I can't understand the obsession is because I wont give up my sleep for much of anything. I love how happy surfing makes him, so much that I allowed him to surf on our honeymoon. I am the best wife, so I am told. These pictures are proof that I let him surf and that Mr. B indeed is a stud.
